AWANA is a children's club program (similar to boy and girl scouts) which has been established for the purpose of teaching children Scriptural principles taught in the Bible.
 
The graded clubs meet each Wednesday evening from 7:00–8:30 pm at the church during the months of September through May.  No pre-registration needed, but registration is required at the first night of attendance.  There is no mandatory dues, but clubbers are asked to bring $.50 cents of club dues each week.

The Clubs:

Cubbies Club

The Cubbies Club is a coed club for ages 3 and 4 year olds. The club is built upon two premises:  young children can and should receive spiritual training, and home is the primary place for spiritual training.  Parents, the primary source of spiritual nurturing for their children, become active participants in their child's spiritual development by working directly with their child on the weekly handbook lessons.  The club time consists of fun activities - games/puppets/crafts, Bible lessons to help clubbers understand the basics of Christianity, and interaction with other children their own age.

Sparks Club

The Sparks Club is for kids in grades K5, 1st, and 2nd (coed). This club continues to build on the material taught in the Cubbies Club.  The aim of the curriculum is to take youngsters a step deeper into God's Word with the presentation of the gospel on a regular bases.  Club meetings are divided into three segments:

• Bible teaching, award presentation, and the gospel message
• Small group interaction and completion of Bible-based lessons
• Age-appropriate games 

Truth in Training

Truth in Training is for kids in grades 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades (boys and girls separated). The name Truth and Training reflects the passion of AWANA to teach third through six grade boys and girls the truth of God's Word and to train them to follow Christ in their daily lives.  The goal is that many of today's young people will become tomorrow's church leaders.  As in the Sparks Club, Truth and Training Club is divided into three segments:

• Bible teaching, award presentation, and the gospel message
• Small group interaction and completion of Bible-based lessons
• Age-appropriate games

Uniforms are a very important part of the AWANA program since they help the children feel that they are a part of the club itself.  All uniforms and materials can be purchased at our AWANA store located in Room #304, Building D.

Clubbers are to be dropped off and picked up in the following areas each Wednesday night:

• Cubbies:  Room A-206, Building A
• Sparks:  Gym, Building D
• Truth and Training:  Gym, Building D
