The Killian Hill Youth Ministry exists to REACH unbelieving teenagers with the gospel of Christ, to help them GROW in their faith toward Christ-like maturity, to EQUIP them to find and do the work of the ministry, and to CONNECT them with other Christian teenagers in an atmosphere that HONORS God.

1.  REACH unbelieving teenagers

We are always looking for opportunities to reach out to our community and plan events and programs that encourage our teenagers to invite their unbelieving neighbors, classmates, and friends. Upcoming events will be posted here.

2.  GROW in their faith

Wednesday Nights & Sunday School
On Wednesday nights, we meet from 7:00-7:30pm in our library (Bldg D) for prayer and a devotional, followed by a group game (7:30-8:00pm) either outside on the athletic field or inside in the gym. No one is required to play; you can come and just hang out if you want ... but some of the more popular games include battleball, volleyball, floor hockey, and soccer.
On Sunday nights, we meet from 6:00-7:00pm in Room #D-102 for a Bible study. (For the summer months, June-Aug, we meet on Sunday mornings after the morning service, 11:15am-noon).

3.  EQUIP to find and do ministry

Nursing Home Ministry
On the 3rd Sunday of every 3rd month, our group visits the Lilburn Life Care Center (Nursing Home) during our normal Sunday night Bible study hour to sing, interact, and be an encouragement to the elderly folks there. We encourage the teens to take full advantage of this opportunity of ministry, and several of the teens have built relationships and shared their faith with the elderly there.

Summer Mission Trips
Each summer, we go on a foreign or domestic mission trip (or both). Previous mission trips have included Santa Cruz, Bolivia (2008 & 2011), Hualahuises, Mexico (2009 & 2010), Cedar City, Utah (2012), and the Durham Rescue Mission in Durham, NC (2010 & 2011). This coming summer, we will be going to the Durham Rescue Mission again (July) and Ghana, West Africa (August).

4.  CONNECT w/ Christian Teens

The fourth purpose of our youth ministry is to encourage teenagers to develop God-honoring, iron-sharpening-iron friendships within the Body of Christ. Once a month, we go out to eat after the Sunday night Bible study hour as an opportunity to build relationships with Christian friends.

We typically try to plan one major activity per month to allow our teenagers an opportunity to interact & build friendships in a fun environment. Below is the info for some of our upcoming youth events:
